Severe thunderstorms passed through the Chicago area this evening, dumping more than an edge of rain at Midway Airport in only 15 minutes as wind gusts were clocked at 54 mph.
Severe thunderstorm warnings for several northeastern Illinois counties including parts of Cook, DuPage, eastern and northern Kankakee counties that were to survive until 7:15 p.m.
