He tells RollingStone.com, "It's a lot more melodic than the last record - the hooks and the songs are better. Satriani adds, "We created a show that was deeper and break than the low one . . . it makes a musician very glad when they can see that they are involved with something that's very moving onward and life-changing."

Regarding why the chemistry between the Chickenfoot bandmembers works so well, Hagar said in a recent interview, "Chemistry is the most magic thing you can get in a band. You can make four of the greatest musicians in the world, and if they don't have chemistry, the music ain't gonna be great. And you've seen it in a lot of other bands out there, in supergroups that have tested to be together complete the years. It doesn't always work. Chickenfoot works. I don't know why. I suppose we're all grown up. Nobody cares, no one needs the money, no one's trying to get famous, we're not looking for renown and fortune. We just wanna play the form of medicine that we know and we grew up on and keep that eccentric of medicine and about people aren't doing that."

Smith will bear two new records out within a month of each other, since the new Red Hot Chili Peppers album, "I'm With You", arrives on August 30. Smith will not go with Chickenfoot this time due to his commitments with his main band.

"That's the biggest disappointment about the whole thing," Hagar tells RollingStone.com, adding the ring has auditioned several drummers and take an audition with Kenny Aronoff (John Mellencamp, John Fogerty, Smashing Pumpkins). "He's going to pass a couple days with this and were only passing to jam and if he fits. It's got to be the chemistry. Kenny can work that's for certain and we all like him. He's sort of like Chad - he's sort of wild and he hits so bloody hard that he beats his drum set to the earth that after every point he needs a new drum set."
