Cynthia's Cottage Design: Shabby Chic Sweets

HI sweet friends! Whew, what a busy couple of weeks it's been. I had a lovely visit with my baby and her husband for a week and now it's support to my routine , which I know too :It's hotter than heck today, or at least in my little box of the studio it is! Us north-easters were anxious for Spring and I guess it only went right into Summer, but that's ok, I'll live.

ts better than the rainfall and cold :I'm popping in for a quick hello and to deal a few new minis I had been running on.They were inspired by the romantic shabby chic feel of my little cottage and my eternal desire to figure things that I'd want designed for my big cottage too : I hope you all had a grand Memorial day weekend!

This board was divine by my face in Summer Rose, ( above and below ) but I also exploited the range in the mark that comes with it to make me inspiration too....



During the week I worked on a tiny tray too, I adore this one because of it's soft pinks and sweet rose pattern .I likewise launch a new varnish recipe that I love using on the wood , it gives the items a very pretty patina, it's difficult to see in the pics, but it has a slight opaque look to it and yet a diffuse glow. I love experimenting in Miniature, I address myself a mad scientist when it comes to recipes lol,but that's half the fun when you get something just right :)

I had a few requests to get some more Summer Rose inspired trays like one I had made previously which had sold, so I did : I liked the colours and items in this one below too. pale pink and pale blue, and sweets? My fav :)



Well that's it for today, I'm going back to the studio after this place and doing some more influence on a few projects I've dreamed up ,a short bit shabby and definitely romantic in style, I can't wait to register you! For now I'll give you with a bit of fresh and savory.yummy butter horn pastries. calorie free :)
